About

I am who He says I am, I can do what He says I can do.  I don’t mind being called a fanatic when it comes to believing the Word.  It is the absolute truth, no matter what I see or feel.  The Word is God speaking to me and it has all the answers pertaining to life and Godliness.

Why call it “Let God Be True”?

I believe it is important to have at least one absolute truth that you believe about God that is a constant to fall back on when it feels like everything is falling apart.  For me the phrase “Let God be true” is that constant.  It comes from this scripture that is not commonly quoted:

Rom 3:3-4 (KJV) - 3 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? 4 Certainly not! Let God be true and every man a liar.

We should measure our lives against the Bible as the only truth.
If God said it, then that settles it.  If the Bible says, “by His stripes you were healed” and you have a physical situation that doesn't agree with the Bible, then it should be settled that the Bible is true, and the symptoms are lying.  We should seek the Lord to find out what we are missing in the area of healing rather than to just assume that it isn't His will, or that He just did not heal us. It might be a fact that I have a situation in my body, but the truth according to the Word of God, is that I am already healed.  Let God be true, even though the symptoms seem to be lying.

If you listen to a teaching from the Bible and the interpretation of scripture seems to be like nothing you have ever heard, rather than to say the Word is not true, consider that perhaps the person preaching might be misinterpreting the scriptures.  So, in this case again, let God be true and let us find out if the preacher has deviated from the truth in the Word.  One sure way to see if something that is being preached is true, is to find at least 2 or maybe 3 witnesses from the Bible to confirm (2 Cor 13:1).  The Bible is able to interpret itself through different scriptures as the Bible books were written by different authors who have witnessed the same situations.

What God says in His Word is truth, no matter the contradiction.  Let me rather find out where I am missing it so I can better understand how to appropriate what Jesus paid for me to have.

Why write a blog?

I am writing this blog as a way of making notes of truths that I am learning - a type of journal if you may.  They portray my journey through the Word of God and keep me accountable to do what I am learning.

I don’t mind sharing these truths.
